Classroom: SLC 309 Office: Platner 208, x4826
This course focuses on the relationship between identity and power in Latin American societies, exploring who has power, how and when people organize based on identity issues, and political leadership by members of underrepresented groups. In addition to readings, we will be using films from both the United States and Latin America as “texts,” including both documentaries and feature films. Films and assigned readings will serve as a basis for discussion.
