The Printmaking II course offers students an opportunity to
practice
in depth, up to three art processes within the area of Printmaking. All
projects are geared towards self expression and creative problem solving, pushing the conventional methodology of the art medium into a fresh dialogue, by combining current cultural interests and ideologies with more traditional printmaking techniques. The course is structured around demonstrations and projects, in-class as well as out-of class studio work and preparation, class critiques and assigned readings. The success of this course will depend greatly upon attendance and absorption of demonstrations, a commitment to studio work both during and outside of class, and careful maintenance of the printmaking facility by all studio users.
* As a guideline for time expectation regarding the course, please expect an equal amount of time in relation to our in-class meetings. In some cases, projects may become more complex, requiring additional time.
