Literature Review, PSYC 415, (along with the senior presentation PSYC 499), consists of a seminar course which involving reading, discussion, and systematic written assignments designed to give experience in (a) conducting library searches, (b) evaluating research topics, (c) analyzing and integrating research, (d) presenting reviews orally and in writing, and (e) peer reviewing a colleague's work. Literature Review builds upon research skills and analyses learned in PSYC 212, Research Methods, and PSYC 214, Statistics. Therefore, both are prerequisites to Literature Review (i.e., may NOT be taken concurrently with Literature Review). It will culminate in a poster presentation, PSYC 499, where all the earlier assignments will be presented in a major literature review paper and poster presentation.

PSYC 415 and PSYC 499 must be taken concurrently with the same instructor.
