This course reviews attempts by various theorists to explain how and why human beings are alike and/or different in terms of their thoughts, feelings, and behavior. We will cover the basic framework and predictions of each theory examined, along with evidence supporting (or failing to support) each theory. Throughout this class, a number of opportunities will be provided for you to apply the work of different theorists to your understanding of yourself and others in the world around you. PSYC 100 or equivalent college-level Introductory Psychology class is prerequisite; however, this is a 300-level course and thus it is most appropriate for students who have mastery of 100 and 200-level coursework in Psychology.
