SOWK 340 Social Work Practice I: Working with Individuals is the first in a three course series designed to develop the values, knowledge and skills necessary to begin professional generalist social work practice in a variety of settings.Special emphasis will be placed on understanding and relating to persons of diverse backgrounds including oppressed groups, populations at-risk, and racial/ethnic minorities.
