The course provides students with an understanding of the characteristics of children with disabilities such as Specific Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, Intellectual Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, Other Health Impairment-Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Autism. Students will examine a variety of developmentally and ability-appropriate instructional strategies, resources, and programs used to create inclusive learning environments that enable all students to learn and succeed. Individuals taking this course must earn at least a B- in order for the course to count towards preliminary credential. *10 hours of fieldwork required
