In this course, students will learn about both historical and contemporary issues in public school education, which have led to opportunity gaps between underrepresented groups. Students will investigate and compare the schooling experiences of Latino(a)s, African Americans, and English Learners in urban K-12 settings as well as initiatives supporting systemic change.
