This course begins with an overview of the characteristics of students with mild/moderate support needs and their implications for effective service delivery. Candidates will gain knowledge of evidence-based practices in delivering effective instruction of English language arts, mathematics, speaking, written language, and listening, designed to ensure access to the general curriculum across settings. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of differentiated instruction and the appropriate use of accommodations and modifications.

Fieldwork required 40 hours. Prerequisite/Co-requisite: EDUC 430/530. One semester, three credits.
